Donna S brought in a lovely pumpkin dessert today so we could celebrate October birthdays. No one in the house had a birthday, but we certainly enjoyed the treat. Kathleen brought her friend Shirley (from the Island) in to see what we were all working on. Everyone was talking about the great workshop from the weekend. I saw a couple of pieces for myself today and there were lots of photos from other participants. Every single one of them is a work of art and I heard many people asking for another workshop. It was nice to see Jeanette in the room today, although she didn’t stay long. Suzanne H sat and stitched with us for awhile.
Perogies were the topic of conversation at my end of the lunch table. Carolina had homemade ones for lunch and it turns out several of the group make their own. We agreed though that the frozen ones we can buy at the store are much better if they are boiled before they are fried (although the package directions don’t tell you that). Carolina was quite surprised to find that she couldn’t find a Ukrainian restaurant in Vegreville.
Don’t forget the Quilt Show Meeting at 6 PM on Thursday, followed by our regular Business Meeting.
