It was a two-cake day!

We were celebrating May birthdays today and both Barb M and Cathy G brought cakes for us to share – and both of them brought their own version of a rhubarb cake. Both were yummy and most of us tried a slice of each – with whipped cream of course! Angel and Cathy G are celebrating birthdays this month.

It was quite a small crowd today if you don’t count the drop-ins. Kathy P stopped in to see what we were busy at and perhaps looking for her missing blocks; Margie and Shirley H dropped in at lunch time. Shirley is looking for a ride to Vancouver for Quilt Canada – if you can help her out please contact her.

Sandy T has our mouths watering when she shared her Lemon Lasagne recipe – the recipe, not even the lasagne! And Barb M just found out you can make cookies with your hand mixer; she has always made cookies completely by hand. We laughed at that but then she told us someone in her family doubts that anyone knew you could make cookies without a mixer.

It was a miniature day today – the last one of the year. Sandra had prizes for us all (there were only five of us). We’ll keep the current schedule of a meeting every second month.
