At lunch, we started talking about weaving – both Annie and Sandy T were taught how to weave in school. Annie’s weaving took the form of a Tartan, something we all thought was quite ambitious for a beginner. Sandra J mentioned the little-known fact that in the beginning men peed on their kilts to make them last longer. That led to Marlene telling us about men peeing on copper to stain it green. And, somehow, that led us to Trump, the police and Scandal (the TV show). It was quite a lunch!
Many of our Retreat ladies were missing. It was a wonderful weekend and we thank all the organizers – Deb, Barb, Kathleen and Bev. There was one general dissatisfaction with the whole event – it wasn’t long enough!
Only a few quilters were left to hear Annie’s housecoat tale. I won’t repeat it here but if you catch her unawares some morning you might “see” the story!
