Penny brought in a lovely lemon cake to help us celebrate March birthdays. Rene was the only one present with a March birthday but she shared her cake with us! It was lovely to have you back with us Rene.
Kathleen was missing from the action but she had a good excuse – she has company. She and Shirley from the Schoolhouse Quilters stopped in to see what was going on. There were also Girl Guide cookies for sale by the box – and boy did we buy them up!
The ladies were on their best behaviour when I was in the room. But the minute I left to cut in the kitchen they were “at it”. There was a lot of laughter and, at one point, Rene threatened to separate Margaret and Gail. No one would do an instant replay for me or let me in on their secrets. I did hear Gail make the comment that “just because that’s what the pattern says it doesn’t mean I have to do it that way”; good advice for all of us.
Many of us will be back at the Magic 9-Patch class on Saturday. Doors open at 9 AM.
The Tuesday Sandwich Board
Marion was busy sorting and cutting her scraps and declined a photo. Kathy P sewed with us for the morning but went missing at lunch; she’s working on a gorgeous bargello in blues.
