Windy Days

The talk today was about all the recent storms, including that Tsunami warning that was posted early this morning. Perhaps it is a good thing that the Comox ferry was cancelled this morning; Sandra J couldn’t make it over to the Island but, had she made it across, she might not have been able to get home. Our Texada ladies decided to stay put in case they were stuck on this side of the water. Annie reports that her power was out for 18 hours, and a tree came down in Donna Sand’s yard and took out their phone and internet.

It was nice to have a few of our regulars back – Patti, Betty, Sandy T, Donna D and Dale. Cathy G was in to sandwich a quilt; Carolina says her geese are done and she hopes they take flight next week. We missed Margaret and Gail (who is excused because she has a new puppy). The lunch conversation started with talk of a Curry and Cardamon Cookie (Margie); we went on to talk about home cures (Mustard Plasters are not a favourite for Rene), and finished with some recommendations for healing salves.

Don’t forget the UFO day on Saturday (9 AM to 3:30 PM).
