After an extremely busy bee last week our numbers were down this time around – we were even missing some of our regulars. There was lots of colour in the room and lots of almost-finishes. Several of the ladies have finished their Redwork samples from the demo night, thanks in part to Sandra J’s hand-stitching session at her home on Mondays. The best news of the day was that Barb K’s surgery can go ahead as planned. We wish her a speedy recovery.
There are a couple of new books in the library; a copy of our Hands Across the Water recipe book has also been added. If you are a member and you haven’t yet got a copy of the book for your own collection, there are still a few extras available in the library cupboard.
We are hoping for a good attendance (and lots of quilts) at our Community Quilts workshop on the weekend. The workshop runs from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM both Saturday and Sunday; Sandra will open the doors not-a-minute-before 9:00 AM. Bring your lunch and your enthusiasm; we need to have a good display of quilts for the show and the need for our quilts continues to increase.
