It was birthday cake day at the bee. Penny made a delightful Hummingbird cake with pineapples, bananas and pecans (among other things). Not a soul was in sight with an April birthday but we enjoyed the cake never the less.
We had a good laugh with Sandra T at lunch. We were discussing whether or not it was safe to leave your washer and drier running if you leave the house; the consensus was that it isn’t and we don’t! That led to a discussion of broken water hoses; Sandy shared her experience with a broken hose on the ice-maker of her fridge. Her son fixed the problem for her but later she heard the dreadful “drip drip” again. Another call to her son to come fix the problem but he couldn’t find any leak. Turns out Sandra T was hearing her clock ticking, not her lines dripping!
Don’t forget the Business Meeting on Thursday at 7 PM.
The Tuesday Sandwich Board
Following successful classes at Crazy Quilt Cottage and on Texada Island there was some lovely hand-stitching in the room today.
