We were so happy to have Gail back with us today – and standing on her own two legs! We were missing our Texada contingent though – Barb was ill and Angel is off on another trip. Kathleen was our go-to resource; almost everyone in the hall asked her advice at one time or another.
Our lunch topic was related to the recent announcement from the World Health Organization regarding the hazards of bacon and other processed foods. There were several stories of doctors prescribing rather “odd” diets to their patients. Rene and Cathie agreed that doctors are called practitioners (because they are still practising); Marlene suggested that doctors wear gloves so they don’t leave any fingerprints!
Don’t forget about the Community Quilts weekend this Saturday and Sunday. All help is appreciated whether for an hour, a day, or the weekend. Bring your sewing supplies (or your help to press and sandwich is appreciated), your lunch and a small snack for sharing.
