We had a good turnout at the bee but we missed our Texada Island quilters because the ferry wasn’t running. We understand Barb and Angel kept themselves busy in Angel’s sewing room.
We had lots of sandwichers in the hall. Eleanor and Margie had community quilt tops ready for batting; Margie sandwiched a memory quilt for her dad, and Marlene got another top sandwiched. Sandra Tuba and Darlene were finishing up the binding on their projects, and there were lots of new projects underway.
There are a few changes coming to our bee over the next couple of weeks. We’ll be at the Blue Mountain clubhouse next week because the Soup and Sandwich day at the Centre has been moved to accommodate Remembrance Day ceremonies. However, the quilters will be back at the Centre on November 11th should anyone wish to join us.
We’ve decided that next week (at the clubhouse) we’ll order pizza for lunch. We’ll get a count and place our order first thing in the morning so if you are planning to arrive late be sure to let one of the “regulars” know your topping preferences. Dessert may be included!
