We’ve been very fortunate over the summer to be celebrating so many birthdays. Abby turns eleven later this week and Kathleen made a chocolate cake that we all (except Sandra) enjoyed. Al was wandering the building and came for a chat so he got a piece too. Rene brought some plums from her tree for sharing at lunch. It was nice to have Margaret back from her vacation; she brought lots of new patterns for us to look at. She says she didn’t buy much fabric, but does she really think we’ll believe that? Breanne, Gail’s granddaughter, joined us for a day of stitching; we all commented on how much she has grown since last summer’s visit. Annie had a better lunch date but returned later in the afternoon to sew a few stitches. Barb’s August project is more Days for Girls kits; I know she’d be happy to have others join her.
