The usual suspects and more

Most of our regulars were in attendance today, including two of our junior quilters. Sandy Tuba and Darlene stopped in to visit, but didn’t stay to sew. Maureen dropped in just as we were finishing lunch; she was cutting fabric for a quilt; rectangles, and rectangles, and rectangles.

Barb brought in her latest finish. She used the bow tie block arranged so you’d never guess! Each background piece is surrounded by several shades of pink and purple (no, not Shades of Grey although that was mentioned!); no two fabrics in a block are the same, and they all came out of Barb’s stash. Carola was working on an interesting technique – an exploding square. She was going to make pot holders from the blocks but once she got going there was no stopping her and it will be a quilt. Annie and Betty were quilting (sorry I didn’t get photos of Annie’s kittens and Betty’s placemats).
