It was a small group at the bee today. We were missing some of our regulars. We speculated that several were travelling and a few were possibly looking after grandchildren during their Spring Break. Sandra Johnstone showed off her Buggy Barn chickens first thing; I didn’t hear the full story, but I think she got up early one morning (2 AM), finished it off, and then went back to bed! Whatever the story, it is a lovely finish.
We were happy to have Abbey join us again this week. She clearly has her Grandma’s quilting genes as she made a bag (start to finish) in just a few hours. She even had extra time to try some of the “fancy” stitches on the sewing machine. Deb Jenkins stopped, sewed a bit of binding, and then disappeared. Barb and Kathleen were filling us in on their plans for the CQA Conference in June; they involved renting a car, a great deal on a hotel in Niagara Falls, and a Casino! All this before the conference even starts!
The Tuesday Sandwich Board
There were all sorts of projects in the room today including placemats, pillows, community quilts, baby and kids quilts, as well as some full-sized quilt pieces.
