Our annual pot-luck Christmas party was a rocking success. There was lots of chatter as folks arrived and were assigned tables, picked up tickets for the raffle draws and placed their gifts under the tree. Donna Devine and her crew had the hall looking very festive for the occasion. The first raffle draw of the night was done in remembrance of Norma Fluery.
We started the evening with a very festive, quilting-related song (Let Me Sew), and we were thrilled this year to have Antoinette accompanying us on piano. There was one special song before dinner – Happy Birthday to Darlene!
Dinner was amazing with a fantastic spread of appies, main course dishes and desserts and desserts and desserts! I’m sure no one went home hungry. And the dishes were very quickly cleared away by another of Donna’s clean-up crew.
Let the games begin. Strip poker had the hall echoing with shouts of joy and laughter. The Bingo game was just plain noisy – you could tell we weren’t playing for a big screen TV!
A group photo ended the night and we exited the hall to a light dusting of snow. Can you spot the differences in the three photos?
