We had another good turn out for our second Days for Girls workshop. Most of the shields, liners and bags are finished. Great work ladies. We will have one more work bee next week to “Bag ’em and Tag ’em”.
It was a surprise to many of us when a birthday cake appeared from the kitchen along with the strains of Happy Birthday. I think we even caught Marlene by surprise. Lots of chatter about what is coming out of our gardens and what we are doing with all that lovely produce. There was a discussion about “humps” at my end of the table. With this crowd I was a little afraid to ask what a hump was. After a few bursts of laughter we got the general idea that a hump is a sewing aid for stitching over really thick seams, as in jeans.
There was even time for a few personal projects.
