We were happy to see one of our Snowbirds back today. Barb regaled us with stories of some ignorant uneducated Americans, and there was lots of catching up to do. How long will it be before we lose her again to the golf course? We were happy to have Angel join us today. She has finished work and is enjoying her time off – she’s on vacation days now, but retirement kicks in soon.
We had a good turnout and continued to add tables until almost lunch time. Margie arrived early and then headed out for a game or two of tennis; Sandra Tuba and Barb McCormack came and went, and then came back again. Gwen dropped in while waiting for a turn in her husband’s chair (for a hair cut). She said she would return and show us how it turned out but we didn’t see her again – she was busy this afternoon with the Hospital Auxiliary bazaar.
There was much planning and excitement about the upcoming CQA Conference, and plans were being made for traveling. Barb assured everyone that Penticton is a small town and everything (conference, casino, and shopping) is within walking distance from the hotels.
I hope to see everyone at the Business Meeting on Thursday. Remember to bring your name tags – these new patterns have been added to the draw bag (thanks to Barb McCormack and Marianna Scott).
Peggy and Kathleen are all set to host our Community Quilt sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Come both days, come one day, come for any part of any day. You don’t have to bring your own project; there will be lots of things to do.
