Today was Project Tuesday at the bee and, thanks to Barb, we had plenty of choices. By the end of the day there were any number of flowers in pots, with watering cans, in vases and several other renditions of the theme.
Progress is being made on the additional storage at the Centre. Any bets on how long it will take to fill this building to capacity?
I hoped to hear some tattle-tale stories from the Retreat weekend but they assured me they were a quiet bunch (like anyone is going to believe that)! I understand Donna was the big winner – she won a door prize as well as the strip poker game. There was some talk that it was it rigged so the newbie would win and come back next time. Or perhaps it was incentive for the rest of us virgins to sign up for the Fall Retreat! It does sound like fun.
The Tuesday Sandwich Board
Marlene was very pleased with her paper-pieced project, and there was no alcohol involved this time. The last time she tried her hand a paper-piecing she had to stop at the liquor store on the way home for Caesar supplies – and she was so frazzled she bought the pre-mixed ones because she couldn’t wait long enough to make her own!
