The need/want question finally answered

Christa Marcotte says that in the quilter’s handbook, “need” and “want” have the same definition. Here is her answer to the need/want question:

“You WANT that fabric right now…so we buy it for the day we will NEED it!! It’s just a timeline technicality!”

Today was Soup and Sandwich lunch at the Seniors Center so I joined the ladies at Blue Mountain for a bit of stitching. Everyone was busy, and there were a lot of secret projects in the room. There were gifts being made, round robins being completed, and several quilt show entries being worked on.

Rene brought yummy Valentine cookies for lunch – and she included a special treat for Sandra. Donna must have had an early start to her day as she finished her rounds and joined us for sewing before lunch. Check out Kathleen’s bags featured on the Whistlepig Creek Productions website.

Cathie Francescutti is still missing her 6 1/2” square ruler. Her name is on it so please check your various bags to see if you picked it up in error following one of our Tuesday sessions in Cranberry.

If you are visiting the Sechelt area in February you might want to check out the Quilters Out of Bounds show at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre. The show is called A Walk in the Forest and will be available until March 3rd. More details can be found in the February 2013 Sunshine Coast Arts & Culture Calendar.

Have you seen the list of vendors coming the the CQA Conference in May?
