Along about this time in our guild year, our thoughts turn to gardening, summer trips to visit family and friends, more time on the golf course or more time in the garden. We polish up the RV or the boat and get the camping supplies organized. Hoards of out-of-town company will descend on us and we switch to salads and the bar-b-que for fast meals.
We wind down with our end-of-the-year party in June and then forget about the guild until September rolls around. BUT there are some of our members who are just getting wound up! They are your new program committee who are searching for fun projects to offer you in the fall. They are also the wonderful volunteers who WILL BE talking and planning all summer for next year’s quilt show.
At our last business meeting, please raise you hand and volunteer for a committee. It will make the new executive’s job so much easier.
AND DON’T FORGET YOUR ANNUAL REPORT FOR EACH COMMITTEE TO BE ADDED TO THAT COMMITTEE’S POLICY AND PROCEDURES MANUAL.
This is my last entry in the guild blog – there will be a bit of housekeeping and re-vamping of the guild blog by our new knowledgable blog girl. She will be trying some new ideas , working with the website coordination and perhaps even creating a facebook page for quick up to the minute notices.
I am trying to get re-acquainted with my own blog, and enter pictures of progress on my summer time projects. Come and see me at www.fiberwhimsys.wordpress.com
