Raffle Workbee– We will continue to meet on tuesdays from 9:00 to 1:00 on March 6, 20, 27th. Our first project is a cream and blue batik queen size quilt. Good progress is being made in constructing the building units.
Our second raffle prize is a scrappy buzzsaw type block. We would appreciate each guild member bringing one strip of cream,beige,taupe and one strip of fall green,brown,rust,. These strips are 2.5 inches wide and can be any length – it does not have to run from selvedge to selvedge.
Blog Management Sherry ,our great membership volunteer, has offered to take over the blog updating. We will get the management passwords and secrets all over to her and you will see new input into the postings.
PROGRAM Call Margie if you did not get that simple list for the smocking demo. Thurs eve March 15th.
There will be a 2 day workbee for community comfort quilts. March 31 and April 1st. We are going to put an emphasis on construction of quilt tops with 5 inch squares and 2.5 inch strips. Check your scrap bin and bring along an assortment to add to the pile. We are testing out about 3 nice simple patterns and will be showing them on this blog soon.
If you already have a project to finish or you want to sandwich , of course you are welcome to do that as well. There is batting available and there has been another very generous donation of backing fabric from Lainey at Galena Bay Fabrics.
