Guild Coffee Break Goodies

Eleanor S. asked if I would post her recipe for her crisps that she had brought to the Guild Meeting.  It seems they were quite the success.   Would you like a page for Guild Recipes here on the Blog?  Just vote and let me know!

ROSEMARY, RAISIN, PECAN CRISPS
2 c flour – I used  1 1/4 c whole wheat and the rest white  ( you can use whatever combination you want)
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 TBSP molasses
1/4 c honey
1 c raisins ( I  used a combination of raisins and dried cranberries)
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c roasted sunflower seeds (optional)
1/4 c sesame seeds
1/4 c. ground flaxseed
1 TBSP chopped rosemary
In bowl mix wet ingredients together then add to flour.  Stir well.
Add remaining ingredients stirring until JUST blended
Pour into 2 – 4 x 8 pans sprayed with pam
Bake 350 for about 45 minutes until golden and springy to the touch
Cool on wire rack
Freeze for easy slicing (slice as thin as possible) (you may have to thaw slightly to slice) with sharp knife
Place slices in single layer  300degrees for 15 min.  Then flip and bake another 10 – 15 minutes  or longer until  crisp and deep golden
8 dozen
Can be frozen
