Our second day of the community workbee went smoothly , but we had fewer people . There were the die-hards who came a second day and worked really hard to get things completed.
The roll of batting was completely used and shirley was able to get the donation fabrics all stashed away in our second storage cupboard so that it no longer is left in the soccer basement. It’s nice she did not have to load her car with yardage and haul it back. I’m glad that our”Adopt-a-Fabric-Chunk ” went over well. People were inspired to take a large chunk of backing and planned to use it as inspiration.
I think we need to give Shirley a really big hug as she has worked organizing this week-end on her own – when she wasn’t really even on the committee any longer. She has served more that her two years!! I hope the rest of you are eager to volunteer for this committee next year.
